My journey to Sisters Hope:

I have a background in trend forecasting, design and visual communication. For more than 10 years I’ve been working with different brands. I have studied these subjects in-depth, at the University. My MA allowed me to explore how the modern individual relates to clothing (as a form of expression) under the powerful influence of globalizing- technological- homogenized- and dictating trends. I studied how the fundamental need to express oneself authentically (not dictated) has arisen from this. It became partly a psychological and sociological study of the modern individual, and of personal interest to understand how technology has affected the modern individual, in different situations, including the way we relate to each other. This has resulted in personal projects, including one with photographer Marie Hyld, where we explored connection and intimacy, meeting a stranger. In addition to the subject of connection and relating, I am studying sex-and partner therapy, to delve deeper into this particular topic. Im also an educated teacher in Living Yolates (Pilates, Dance and Yoga), in order to learn a therapeutic and positive way of moving and connecting. In this context I was exploring the connection to the (Sensuous) CITY.

What exists in this vivid, yet completely still moment is in every footstep I touch,
and leave behind.
Dark, Light, Vertical, Horizontal & Round In Time.
Wieght pushes weightless.

I am in every past and every future.
I bleed for the earth.
A braided past – as a torch to an invitation to fight for what you know. You can already do.
Gently I walk by your side and we get to a destination.
As a place a seed in your hand for you

SENSUOUS CITY – THE PERFORMANCE

Sisters Hope tager dig med på en dyb, sanselig rejse ind i byens poetiske sprækker. I løbet af 24 timer udforsker I byen i små grupper. Måske følger I vandets vej gennem byen. Måske følger I byens kældre eller hustage.

Som deltager er du med på en rituel vandring og performance, der skal hjælpe os med at finde en sanselighed i vores måde at være på i byen. Som modsætning til idéen om den store, larmende, fremmedgørende metropol bringer Sisters Hope os i kontakt med det nære, det stoflige, det æstetiske i storbyen.

Vandringerne ledes og faciliteres af Sisters Hopes performere: The Melt, The Invitation, The Shape-shifter, m.fl. Inden I tager afsted, sørger de for, at I indvies i alt det, I skal medbringe på den poetiske og sanselige vandring. Undervejs vil der være måltider og et sted at sove. Efter billetkøb vil du modtage et velkomstbrev med mere information.

I løbet af de 24 timer udforsker I byens sanselige og poetiske grundstoffer. Hvilke fortællinger, atmosfærer, bevægelser, følelser gemmer der sig mellem murstenene? I udfører aktiv grundforskning, og jeres opdagelser bringer I med jer tilbage til Københavns Rådhus, hvor de udstilles i montrer til skue for alle Rådhusets besøgende.

Jeres opdagelser lægger grunden for nye drømme og visioner om fremtidens by – en by med plads til poesi, skønhed og sanselighed.
